AMATEUR HOMEBREW AND CHILI COMPETITIONS HEAT UP ROARING FORK VALLEY JUNE 8
Locals are encouraged to test out their best recipes at the Chili Pepper & Brew Fest
Snowmass Village, CO (May 30,2008) - The Snowmass Chili Pepper & Brew Fest is just a week away, and local chili and homebrew aficionados are invited to test out their best recipes on Sunday, June 8, at the 5th Annual Chili Pepper & Brew Fest.
"We've had some remarkable local homebrew and chili presented here over the past several years," says event director Josh Behrman. "We're pleased so many locals have signed up and invite anyone else out to give their secret recipe a go."
The People's Choice chili and homebrew tastings and voting take place in the afternoon on Sunday on the Snowmass Village Mall with the public tasting and votings beginning at 2 p.m. Chili participants must make a minimum of four gallons of chili, while brewers must bring enough brew for at least 30 4oz samplers.
First place winners will receive a $100 cash prize and bragging rights as the best Chili Head or Homebrewer in the Roaring Fork Valley. Second and third place prizes will be awarded. All entrants receive one free weekend party pass for the entire weekend's festivities.
Sunday is free and open to the public with tastings on a first-come, first-serve basis. Jess Grew will be performing starting at 1 p.m.
